Shamelss Begging (moving)

Hi all! Well... it looks like we have picked a date for the "big move" - meaning renting a truck for the "big things" (entertainment center, beds, dressers)... that day will be Monday 27 March 2006. It is our goal to have most of the boxes and smaller things over there in advance (thank you Volvo and friends w/ trucks)... but some items are so big/bulky (and it may rain) that we thought a truck would be a good idea.

So... If anyone wants to help out that day, i am thinking we should be done in less than 3 hours (including travel time). We will likely be making regular trips from our house up to the new house (about 14 miles away). So... if anyone has any time to donate between the 15th and the 27, we will gladly accept it. Pop/juice and munchies will be available - and special mention at housewarming party (TBA) will be included :)

We could also use the loan of a hand truck, should anyone own one.

Also, if you have boxes taking up space in your home that you just haven't recycled or rehomed yet, we would love them as well. :)

My truck is available to you, of course. The 27th is a Monday, which means that Lauren and I are almost definitely working, probably until late afternoon / early evening (5-6pm). If you're going to be working later on that evening we can help, or if you need any extra assistance on a Thursday or a Friday, which are our days off.

We're hoping to be moving sometime in April, though it may be a bit into May, depending on what is available at the place we want to move. We'll probably do what you are doing, renting a larger truck for one day for the big stuff, and then handling everything else, little by little. We'll definitely keep people apprised of what is happening as we firm up plans and such.

Ack. I can't watch the kids on a Monday. Sorry, hon. *hugs* There's a chance I'll have time some weekend day to take them to Pacific Science Center or the zoo (depending on weather and buses) to assist in having your small deliveries up, but otherwise I'm not going to be of much help this time around. :(
